「アメリカンユートピア」と映画を一緒に完成したトーキングヘッズのフロントマン、デイビッドバーンとスパイクリーは、もう天才、いや天才以上かもしれません。この映画を見終わった後、なんだか私は胸がジーンと熱くなり、すーっと涙がこぼれていました。

アメリカンユートピアは、トーキングヘッズの曲をきくブロードウェイのミュージカルとして上演をされていました。舞台はとてもシンプル、演ずる人（バンドメンバー）と、あとは空間のみです。空間はみている人に「間」を与えます。
メンバーは楽器を手に持ちながら、マーチングバンドのように、走る、踊る、歌うが続きます。どれもメッセージ色のつよい歌詞ばかり。みてる観客もまきこんで、舞台はクライマックスを迎えます。

アメリカの闇がでてきました。ジョージフロイドに代表される罪のない黒人が白人の警察に殺害されるケースが後をたたないため、Black lives matter-黒人にもいきる権利がある運動を興味深く取り上げていました。差別のない社会、人種をこえての共存を訴えているのに、なぜこういった、悲しい事件がアメリカからなくならないのでしょうか？アメリカンユートピアは本当にあるのか？問いかけています。

エンディングロールにデヴィッドバーンの想いがあります。アメリカンユートピアはあると、それは有権者になり、選挙にいき投票をしようと。つまり政治がよい方向に変わることに意義あると。そのために有権者はかしこくなり、よりよい大統領を選ばないといけないとどんな人種でも一人一人の命は尊い。よって人生は美しくあるべきなのではと、雄弁にデヴィッドは語っています。

David Byrne, a front man and a guitarist of Talking head and Spike Lee, a film director who made American UTOPIA are genius. Probably, I believe that they are more than that. The film brought me into tears while I was moved by that story

American UTOPIA was used to play at Broadway theater in New York like a musical.
However, it has a very unique style which features band members carrying on their instruments by themselves and a space on the stage. The space instantly offer audience a time to think. Members were busy dancing or performing their instruments like a big marching band on the stage. Most audience got soon infatuated with it and played together at the venue. 

Then, there was a climax which was a Black lives matter movement. Like the incident of George Floyd who was killed by a white policeman, the numbers of innocent black men lost their lives repeatedly. America was supposed to be creating a society with no racism and coexisting over differences. but how come the country still have a lost of sad incident ?why it still is happening ?

At ending roll, David Byrne insist to register as voters to the pubic. Unless we could not choose the best political leader, the society would not change in a better way. To make our dream of American UTOPIA come true, people must be wise and be aware of the importance of our lives in despite of skin colors.  He then said life must be beautiful in the end.  

I enjoyed imitating to dance about David Byrnes in the film.
